The school code is hofiusorch
your pass word is your child's ID #
Q: What do I do if I am having trouble logging into CHARMS?
A: Email Mrs. Jackson at ajackson1@kleinisd.net and ask her to check if your password needs to be reset. Once you login you have the option to change your password. You may have changed it previously and if you don't remember the password you will need to have it reset. Make sure when emailing Mrs. Jackson that you have your child's ID# in the email. It will greatly increase how quickly the problem can be resolved.
Q: How much does it cost to belong to the orchestra?
A: There is a yearly activity fee for everyone of $40.00. This covers your orchestra polo, uniform maintenance and end of year cleaning, costs of putting on concerts and cost of additional clinicians. In addition, cellists, bassist, and harpists need to pay a $50.00 District Instrument use fee to help supplement maintenance costs on school instruments. Any additional costs are associated with socials, spring trip, awards banquet, entrance fees for region and solo & ensemble (if participating), and accompanist fee for solo & ensemble (if participating and needed for your solo). All students have the choice to purchase one of our spirit shirts for $12 online.
Q: Will there be any fundraising opportunities?
A: Yes. We generally have 2 main fundraisers- we will be selling cookie dough and tumblers in the fall and have an online donation drive in the Spring. Each student is given the goal of fundraising $100 in profit for the orchestra program. Any profit beyond that $100 can be applied to your end of the year trip to Splashtown
Q: What musical activities will we participate in?
A: Several concerts will be given throughout the year, including a fall concert, winter concert, a pre-UIL concert, UIL performance, and our spring concert. In addition each student will learn a solo and ensemble and have the opportunity to compete in the Klein Solo and Ensemble competition.
